Local Partnership – WhiffAway Group & Wycombe Wanderers FC

WhiffAway Stand Coming to Adams Park as Blues Sign New Partner

Wycombe Wanderers Football Club have formed a new partnership with locally-based water technology experts WhiffAway Group, in a deal which will greatly enhance the club’s sustainability practices and lead to an extensive refurbishment of the toilet facilities around the Adams Park stadium and Marlow Road training base.

The partnership will see WhiffAway sponsor the away stand – to be known as the WhiffAway Stand – while all toilets across the stadium and training ground will undergo renovations to install infection control and water conservation facilities, saving in the region of 7.5million litres of water each year.

James McLean, CEO of WhiffAway Group, said: “This exciting partnership brings together two like-minded institutions who both have ambitious growth plans and continue to punch above their weight in their respective fields. We are absolutely thrilled to be playing our part in supporting the Wycombe Wanderers family.”

Wycombe chairman Rob Couhig, Jr. said: “We believe in running a club that strives for excellence in every area. When we learned we were sixth in the sustainability league tables, we strived to do better, and fortunately we have right here in Wycombe one of the world’s leaders in a solution to a problem many people don’t know we have in terms of the excess water which is used in the stadium every matchday.

“It helps us lead our charge to becoming more sustainable. On the first day I arrived here, I said I wanted to make sure our facility continues to improve and give fans a better experience when they come here. Being able to upgrade our public bathrooms is another step in the right direction and we’re delighted to have WhiffAway on board.”
