Living for Others – Running Length of the UK, 875 Miles in 16 Days

During the pandemic many families have been affected by tough economic conditions, including the mental and social impacts of not being able to embrace their loved ones. We have all been on a personal journey and have tried to find strength to keep our families safe.

Many people have also lost their lives and this will leave a lasting effect on those left behind. Sadly, following six weeks in hospital fighting renal failure and a severe bacterial infection, one of our Contract Managers, Wayne Martin passed away in November of last year.

To honour those left behind, Georgina McLean (SVP Marketing & Finance) is running the entire length of the United Kingdom from John O Groats to Lands’ End – This is a person who despised everything about running a year ago and struggled to run 5km. She is also doing this challenge for two extremely worthy causes close to our hearts, which include the Renal Fund Royal Berkshire Hospital (For Wayne) and Orthostatic Tremor Foundation (a rare condition our Founder & Chairlady, Valerie McLean, has).

Whilst times are tough, we’d be grateful for any donations to these causes, large or small and thank you for any support
